It
became oblivious that if someone sat down and carefully went through every
word of a single print of the book, errors could be elimanated at sauce,
making huge savings, both in costs and in reputation of burgeoning publishing
houses. The proofreader had came of age and was now recognised as a trade
and not and annoying know-all in the office.
Grammourpuss
proof reading services came into being in 1996 when it's founder member
realised he had a gift for discovering errors in the output of an imaging
company he was working for, saving them many pounds in reprints. |

Unappreciated,
he decidd to do a course in proof reading and found that his abilities
combined with a specific knowledge of the standards and methods of the
craft availed him of a skill that could be used to good effect. Today he
tyrelessly scans pages routing out those little oversights that, when printed
out a million times, take on a more visible appearance. The company continues
to grow and Grammourpuss's clients can sleep soundly in their bed at night,
knowing that the scenarios of enormous job reprints are nothing but harmless
nightmares.
